Spam identity question

I have Office Outlook 2007.

Recently, I'm recieving a lot of SPAM, it all has a file attachment called
dsl***.png, which display the same advert.

Is there a way of filtering any incoming message with attachments
dsl****.png and deleting them? Or even any messages with png attachments ?

thanks, B.

You can create a rule that look for specific words in the message header.
Set the "specific words" part to ".png" (without quotes) and you should be
fine.

I made a rule to move messages with .png or .PNG in the header to Junk
folder. And ran it on all messages in the Inbox.

But it failed to move the spam, even though it has an attachment DSL2354.PNG
??

Is the attachment also exposed in the message header?
It isn't for all emails (usually it is only added when the mail server has
performed a scan on the attachments).

Otherwise use a more generic rule such as;
-has an attachment
-move to folder
-except if the sender is in Address Book

You can combine it with other common unique properties as well of course.

You might also want to check your Junk E-mail filtering settings and check
if you are missing any updates for it; the messages you describe are being
filtered out correctly here with a setting of "High".
