How do I get xp sp2. I used windows update on my brothers computer and when
I tried to download it it took forever and never did finish. Do you need sp2
before installing sp3?

SP 3 requires SP 2 /or/ SP 1.

If your brother has a slow internet connection you can order SP 3 on CD
directly from Microsoft:

Do you need sp2 before installing sp3?

The answer is yes for those who have XP Gold (i.e., no Service Pack).

The answer is no for those who have XP SP1 or XP SP1a.

How do you tell how much free disk space you have on XP? On Vista it shows
when you open computer.
