SP2

I use Outlook Express and since downloading SP2 my spam emails have
increased greatly. None are related so I cannot apply controls. Someone told
me they read where SP2 causes this and there is something I can do. Does
anyone have a suggestion? Thanks in advance!

Installing Service Pack 2 has nothing to do with the amount of spam you
are getting. Nothing. If you are getting more spam, it could be
because:

1. You posted on Usenet or on a messageboard and used your real,
unmunged email address and it has now been harvested by spambots.

2. Someone you know who has your email address on their computer is
infected with a virus and has been captured to spew out spam and
viruses. Your address could have been harvested from that.

3. You signed up for something and used your regular email address
instead of a "throwaway spam box" email address.

Here is a link to a section on my website briefly discussing spam:

There are links to other, more extensive information about spam there.
