sp2 home network problem

ever since installing sp2 on my 2 pc (xp pro on both) at home I can't access
my pc from my wife's pc.
I can access the wife's from mine w/o any problem, but when I try to access
mine from hers I get username and password prompt. I try admin and my user
name (also an admin account) with correct password for both but I get a user
not allowed to access from this location message.
I have tried network setup with various ics settings and nothing worked.
I have tried just manually entering ip address/dns servers (each pc uses its
own modem so ics isn't needed) using each pc ip as the dns but that still
didn't work.
I have tried to find a setting in local security that prevents users from
logging on but everything there seems ok. I haven't done a lot with sec
policy so I might be missing something here.

any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks

took a week to figure it out though.
local security settings then user rights assignments.
I had to manually add user name to the "access this computer from the
network"

You need to check Windows XP Sp2 firewall

wasn't sp2 firewall issue, its disabled and verified. I had to manually add
user name to allowed list in rights assignment.
both pc had sp2 and both have that firewall disabled (I use a different one)
but one pc would not allow any access with both firewalls completely
disabled.
