Hi, hope some kind soul from MS is reading. We have installed SP2 (CD from
MS) onto 3 machines on our network, (All PIVs) 2 are ok, and working fine,
but one is having a real hard time (My Machine) These box's are top end
graphics machine, used purely for work, so no games etc.
The problem machine has Asus Raid mobo, 0 & 1, via UDMA & SATA drives,
(900gig) 4 gig Ram(DDR400) and Radeon 9700 pro Vid card. The problem is the
machines intermittently freezes or crash's. I have updated the drivers for
the card from the ATI site, the monitor is at its default refresh (85Hz @
1600x1200), and I am running out of ideas as to why it's misbehaving, so any
suggestions most welcome, also, Media player has decided it no longer likes
AVI files and wont play them, apart from that its all ok.
