We have recently upgraded several hundred of our XP computers to SP2. After
doing so we have seen two applications that seem to be experiencing problems.
It is like they are somehow dropping their IP connection after a certain
period of idle time. One program is a simple TCP/IP connection to an AS/400.
If they let their computer sit idle for about 10 minutes then it bumps them
back to a login screen on their 400 session. But it is not being initiated
by the AS/400. It only occurs on computers that have been upgraded to SP2.
The same type of problem is occuring in our other application. After they
sit idle and then try to start again the program gives them an error about no
database connection. Any help would be appreciated.
