SP2 and disapearing links on web pages?

Just installed SP2 with no serious issues. I do have one issue that is
different then before the installation if someone can help.
When browsing a web page, the links show normally as underlined links,
and when I put the mouse on the link it works; however the link itself
disappears completely.
Probably a new security change but I have no idea what it is or how to
fix it. I'm assuming that the links that are disappearing are doing so
because that link doesn't pass the new security settings. If I'm right,
is this normal behavior and should I leave it alone, or how do I change
it to get the links to function? If I can change them to show when
moused, am I defeating the security precautions by changing these to
show?
Thanks
Dudley

Hi,
Check the settings in Internet Options> General> Colors. Try "hover color"
checked and unchecked. Try a different hover color. I've seen pages where
the link seems to disappear due to the background color on the page.

Hope this helps,
Don

Please elaborate on/define "the link itself disappears completely." The
*hyperlink* itself, on the original webpage? The IE window in which the
clicked-on link opens?

I think you broke the code.
Actually I never changed the color in options/colors. I have been
fooling around with a lower background color for OE...sort of a beige
that is easier on my eyes. I think that somehow my selecting this beige
color for my OE window background might have been picked up by IE as
well for some web pages. Mostly the pages have been showing a normal
white but when I hovered on some links, they faded away into nothing
under the mouse. They worked ok, but you couldn't see them unless you
moved the mouse away for an instant; then they would reappear. It was
funny. Not all links were affected.
I think it's ok now, but I haven't been browsing much either :))

I can't honestly remember Bear. (seniors you know.) Don't think so.
Thanks for the links. I'll be reading up on things anyway to learn how
things work if I can.
