SourceSafe

Hi,

I'm using Access 2003 Professional Version. I have installed Visual
SourceSafe (separate product) and the plug-in for Access.

When I click Tools->SourceSafe->Add Database To SourceSafe, it does the
following:

[a] Prompts me Close/Re-open my database (I click Yes).
Asks me to Log into Visual SourceSafe.
[c] Displays the Add to SourceSafe Project dialog.

After about a minute, I see that it created a project folder in SourceSafe,
but that it doesn't contain anything. The database window in Access does not
appear (unless I press F11) and nothing else happens.

Does anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong?

Thanks,

Andrew

As a note to my original problem (in case anyone else is interested):

(1) Yes. You must install VS 6 SP 6 (even if you don't have it)
(2) You must also change the default database from access 2000 to Access
2002-2003 under Tools->Options (advanced tab).

Then everything works!

Thanks.

It is absolutely necessary to install Visual Studio 6 SP6
(http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/downloads/updates/sp/vs6/sp6/default.aspx)
to get SourceSafe 6.0d build 31222. Check Access 2003 Source Code
Control Add-in Readme file.

Cheers!
