i recently upgraded for windows 98 to windows xp, and now a game i had
downloaded from real arcade off the internet won't play any of the sound
effects. i spoke with a tech from real games and we re-installed and
re-downloaded it again and it still doesn't work. is there something with
the windows xp/computer settings that I need to change or adjust? (ZUMA)

also, some of my daughters cd's that do not have the xp compatible play, but
do not have any sound either? please someone help!

thanks,
lynn

Hi Lynn,

It sounds (pun intended) like you might need to update your sound
card or your sound card / device drivers. Please visit this site:
http://support.microsoft.com/?pr=gms and click on the Show Me
How links to Test your Sound and Update your Device Drivers.

Hi Lynn,

Use the "Show Me How" links again to find your sound information,
and we'll check the manufacturer's site directly for a driver update.

Hi Lynn,

If you can find the sound card type you have, I'm sure we can find the driver..

To identify the type of sound card and driver version:
Click Start
Click Run
Type: dxdiag

Once the DirectX Diagnostics utility loads up:
Click the Sound Tab
In a reply to this post:
Type the Name of the Device,
Type the Name of the Driver, Version, Date and Provider.
