i looked in my volume control (speaker icon in task bar )
and i lost the slider control for my mp3 volume
any way to get it back

I have never seen a separate channel for MP3 on this or any Windows box
that I have used.
Here in XP, with Creative's SoundBlaster Live Value, they are controlled
by the WAV/DIRECT SOUND slider.
