soundless

I was being foolish and un-installing some old programs
that I hadn't been using. I un-installed something I think
was called "sound max"? Well, when my computer re-started
I got the missing driver wizard. Which I canceled. Then
noticed that I no longer had sound on my computer. No
volume control, and all the things are grayed out under
the Sounds and Multimedia on the control panel. :(
Does anyone know what I deleted, and if I can download it?

Hi,
Soundmax digital audio is your sound card. The
manafacturer is Analog devices, inc according to device
manager on my PC.
What type of PC do you have (ie. is it a self built
system, or a bindle package - compaq, dell etc?)
If it is a bundle, then get out the discs that came with
the PC and try using them to re-install the device.
If not, visit the web and download the driver for your
card. You can go to device manager through system in the
control panel (hardware, device manager) and see if you
have a soudn device lsisted.

Hope this helps. Jonny.
