soundcard

First, you check your PC documentation &/or user manual if you have it.

Then, look at the slots at the back or your PC. Sound cards generally
require wire connections to speakers. The connections are pin shaped. An
installed sound card has small, often times color coded pin hole
connections, 2, 3, or 4 in a row that will face out in one of those card
slots.

You might get more hints by using the 'add new hardware wizard' in Control
Panel. If you do not know where to find the Control Panel then click
'Start' & then 'Help' on your Windows desktop & use either the 'index'
'search' or 'contents' tab & go from there. You will find step by step
instructions.
