Sound recorder

I cannot get my mic to work on the sound recorder..the
mic is not muted in the master settings but the balance
bar is not highlighted either like the rest of them..any
answers here??I know the mic works i have checked it on
another computer,,tnxs.JIM

Look in device manager and see if its there. if not, do
you have all the drivers installed. look from what company
it is and then go to their page - download the drivers for
your product. it's worth a try

Verify that you're checking the proper settings. The ones that show up by default in the Volume Control panel are the Playback settings. To access the Recording settings, click on Options > Properties, then select Recording. The Microphone may have to be enabled to show in order to change the setting.

Yes I will do that itdoes sound like a driver problem..I
