sound quality

When I record voice through a mic in PowerPoint, the quality is very poor.
However, when the voice is recorded to a wav file using Sound Recorder and
then inserted into the slide, the quality is excellent. What can I do to get
the same quality and record through PowerPoint?

You'd be better off doing it all through Sound Recorder

In the Narration menu, you should be able to modify the quality of the
recording (8 bits, 16 bits and so on)
