passive headphones, is sound OK, but when I join active repro, I hear hum.

What can I do? Can you help me anybody?

Most likely your working sound driver was corrupted. Ck. the easy things
first. Ck the Sound applet in the control panel and make sure no ck marks
are any places that would mute sound and no levers. Also check the applet
for your sound card. Unplug any speaker connections to your computer and
replug them.

If those don't help, then go to the sound card manufacturer's site and
download and install the latest appropriate driver.

Determine who makes your sound card. This should be listed in the Sound
Applet of your control panel, and if you don't find it there type into run
box dxdiag and click on the sound tab and it will tell you.

The sound drive needs to come from ***one source most likely.

If device manager has a sound entry, you can right click it>left click
properties and click update driver alternatively and see if the wizard will
find your driver or if you have downloaded the drivers to a location you can
browse to that location.
