sound objects

I have a presentation to music that loops the same song through about 100
slides in ppt 2003. The slides amount to about 5 minutes and the song is only
4:04, so I have it starting over where necessary. Is it possible to fade the
music at the end in of the slide presentation so it doesn't abruptly end, or
must the sound clip be edited first in another program, then placed as a
sound object where it is needed? Thanks for any advice.

Hi lindava,
Unfortunately, you can't fade a music in PowerPoint. You will need a sound
editor such as Audacity to do so.

You can download Audacity for free at:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

You can also check out Indezine's tutorial on:
"Creating Fades using Sound Forge"
http://www.indezine.com/products/sound/sf/fade.html

See if it helps.

In addition to what tohlz has suggested, you may want to adjust the
transition time for your slides to end closer to when you sound file ends.
