Sound not very loud

T

tshad

I have a Toshiba Satellite running XP and the sound on the speakers are not
very loud.

Not sure why they used to be pretty good.

The volume on the tray icon is up all the way as is it on the Control panel.

I can hear the music, but it is really soft like it was about a quarter of
the way up.

Any where else it may be muting the sound?

Thanks,

Tom

WHAT!?!?

That implies that you know why it's not now.

Check the volume level on whatever application you're using to listen.

Try the Fn key with the 3 key. Other ideas listed here:

I assume that you are aware of the volume control on the right front
side of the laptop? And that you have turned it up??

No.

and I am using the same speakers I use in desktop. They are coming out the
headphone jack so no speakers involved there.
