Sound Issue

I have a dell computer with windows xp. I installed creative audigy se. The
voume control program will not display the icon in taskbar. I searched for
sndvol32.exe and it is in i386 folder. But the sound doesn't work. When I
go to control panel and into sounds and audio devices and click on place
volume icon in the taskbar it says windows cannot display the volume control
program .. blah blah. Right now the sounds and devices properties is showing
sb live! 24 bit as the audio. I might have uninstalled something that caused
this to happen. I do not have the windows xp cd. What can I do to fix this
problem.

Try task bar/start icon,task bar,customize,edit for it to show always,if
listed,
or browse for it..
