Sound Device Not Working

J

John

Yesterday, my new laptop (no name brand) was working and I
was able to listen to music saved on the hard drive.
Today, when I click on a song, I received the following
message in Windows Media Player:

0xC00D11BA: Cannot play the file
Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is
a problem with your sound device, such as a sound card or
sound controller. You may encounter this error message for
one of the following reasons:

Error ID = 0xC00D11BA, Condition ID = 0x00000000

I tried to troubleshoot, but nothing seemed to work nor
fit the condition I am having. Any thoughts or suggestions
would be appreciated.
