Sound Blaster that doesn't Blast the Sound.... (Audigy 2 ZS)

Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS w/in case display panel
200 gig SATA WD drive
ATX Case
CDrom DVDr CDwr

Basically the sound doesn't come out the back of the sound card out of
any of the jacks. Creative setup says for two speaker setup that the
top jack should be output.
I am currently running the sound out of the front threw the
headphone jack. I went threw the setup for the Sound Blaster and the
Diagnostics which don't work. They say click on the start button to
begin but I don't see a start button. Not sure maybe need to
reinstall software. Words on this screen bleed off the screen as well.


Secondly I plugged headphones into the back of the card to hear
anything was coming out and when I did the setup, it told me the
polarity was wrong. But still no sound. I want is hook the sound
card to 2 speaker amp. Nothing mind blowing. And I figured at least
on of the jacks in the back would have digital out. Well that isn't
the case.

Ideas????

Disable onboard sound in the bios. Uninstall any drivers for the onboard
sound (soundmax).

.... and make sure that you selected the Audigy in Settings/Control
Panel/Multimedia & Sounds/Audio.
