Sorting out different versions of SP2

Can someone confirm that the SP2 at this link is a final
version and not in some kind of beta form that I will need
to redownload and reinstall again in the near future?
Elaborate if possible on what MS intends to do if any;
more info is good

This is the full netword install ~270MB.
Elaborate on what? MS has asked that the home user
use Windows Update instead of this download, but that seems
more to do with concerns MS have of their download server being
overloaded.
