Sort Warning dialog box not displayed

When I select a range of cells with more then one column and go to
Tools>>Sort or use the Toolbar buttons to sort I don't get the Sort Warning
dialog box. If I select only one column then the Sort Warning does come up.
Is this normal behavior? I think the Sort Warning dialog box should come up
when ever there are more columns then those selected. Or have I disabled a
setting that I can't find back that will give me the sort warning with
multiple columns?

Just a guess, but I bet the developer thought if the user was smart enough to
select more than one column, then they probably didn't need a reminder that
there were adjacent cells not included in the selection.

Personally, the only time I ever use those buttons on the menubar is when I'm
working on a worksheet with just one column.

And I'll always select the range I want to sort when I do Data|sort.

(I won't let excel guess (right or wrong)!)
