Sort number is lookup

I am creating a table with a lookup colum...in the lookup colum I refer to
another table for the data...
the problem is the number sort...it sorts as 1, 11, 12,....2, 20 etc....
How do I sort the lookup column to sort as 1, 2, 3, .....10, 11, 12 etc...????

Dear Kelly:

A number will sort 1, 2, 3, . . .

Text will sort 1, 11, 12, . . .

So, if you want it to sort as a number, make it a number.

Looks like you are using a TEXT field, not a number field.

I figured it out...I forgot to mention that I need to keep it as a text field
so I changed the numbers from 1, 2, 3, to 01, 02, 03,...it now sorts perfectly
