Sony DVD problems.

I have a Sony DRU500A DVD burner. When I try to play DVDs on it
they are all pixelated. Audio CDs are noisy. I use PowerDVD xp to
view the Videos and have tried Windows Media Player and Real
Player, but they won't play the DVDs at all.

CD burning seems all right, but DVD data discs are corrupted.

Sony has sent me 2 DRU 510s at different times and they act the
same way, so it seems to be my computer. Everything else works
fine on the computer.

I've used Sony's DiscCheckC on the drives and it always comes up
with an error that I can't decipher. I have sent these error files to
Sony, but they can't seem to figure them out either.

Has anyone else had these kind of problems?

Hope someone can help.
Thank you,

Only a guess, but I'd say that a Pentium II with only 64 Meg
of Ram and using an ISA video card is not going to work

Wait... you say that is not your computer hardware?

Well... what IS the rest of your system configuration?

Thank you,

I've got the same DVD burner and have had absolutely no problems with
it. Does your system meet the minimum requirements?
