Sony DV error "Class Not Registered"

I get an error when I tell MM2 to capture parts of the tape manually, it comes back with an error "Class not registered". the same thing happens if I try to capture from the entire tape. It rewinds but then gives me the same "class not registered" error. What the heck does that mean.

Hello there,

DirectX "IS" a set of codecs.

If you have found that re-installing DirecX solves your problem, then
you need to find out what rouge software is corrupting that installation.

I found out whenever i get these messages,I install directx again and then

the problem is fixed, but some time later it appears again, but i do know
that is not a codec problem, because i tried all that9INSTALLING CODECS
ETC.) So thats what i do,i install direct x again,i hope this issue will be
solved,because maybe this doesn't work with other people who have this
