Sony Cyber-Shot

I can not access my Sony Camera on my laptop with Windows
XP. It is connected via USB. I am able to see te DCIM
but when I select it I receive the following message...
E:\DCIM\100MSDCF is not accessable. The file
or directory is corrupted and unreadable.
I know it is not the camera because I can access it on my
Win98 workstation.
Help!
