Sometimes XP doesn't shut down....

About every fifth time I Shut Down, it gets to where its
says "Windows is shutting down", and it just sits there,
and sits there........and never shuts down. Is this a known
bug, or what? And is there a patch to cure it?

That's because it is a sorry @ssed microsoft product. Too bad MS didn't get
caught long ago in their underhanded business practices, maybe we would have
a good OS by now.

Usually caused by a bad device driver. Which one can only be determined by
trial and error. Sound card causes this also.
