something better then netmeeting?

Does anyone know if there is something better then netmeeting that comes with
windows? I know the Remote Desktop Manager works if you've got XP, but most
of our machines are win2k. If there is no way to use something that comes
with windows, then how about something 3rd party either free or pay-for.
thanks all

DameWare is good - there's also VNC.

RDP works well on Win2000. You can download it from the Microsoft
site. You need Terminal Services in Administration mode on the servers
(doesn't cost anything).

Um, let me expand on what I said.

Install Terminal Services on the server end, selecting the Remote
Administration mode. Then you can use either the Terminal Services
client or RDP client to access the server.

If you want to control the workstations, (which is probably what you
really want to do, rereading the question), then you can use something
like VNC (free) or pcAnywhere (not free).

Cheers,

thanks cliff. Yes, you are correct. I do want to control the workstations,
which we are doing now with netmeeting. Remot Desktop is nice, to bad it
doesn't work without T.S. When I look up VNC on the net it brings me to
www.remotelyanywhere.com. Is this the right one? It appears that they charge.
Perhaps I hit the wrong site. thanks again.

Yes, but you can't use it to host Remote Desktop - there's no RD/TS for
Win2k Pro.
