How do you know that your PC is saving something every few minutes?
Can you be more specific? Have you contacted your sys admin?

In addition, it might be that the indexing service is running in the
background. The indexing service is supposed to allow quicker access to
files, but I haven't seen much difference on my system. Yours might be
different.

As stated before there might be some normal programms which use PC-idle time
to perform tasks. Some are part of WindowsXP like the indexing service, or
the defragmantation-program.
Others might be indexing software like google-dektop- search etc.
Your anti-virus software also might scan the Harddisk for viruses etc. from
time to time. This you should be able to modify in your AV-software.
In case you still are suspicious about malware try this program:
http://www.mmdirect.de/downloads/hijackthis_199.zip
It produces a logfile of ingredients of your System (processes, autostarts,
special registry-keys) which consequently can be analyzed here:

See your system administrator.. if there is tracking software installed by
the company, they have every right to do that..

Are you by chance in a Call Centre in India!

Your posting IP suggests Mumbai India.

If so, then there's a very good chance your activity is being
monitored as they have every right to do so. Perhaps that is why you
are reluctant to talk to your system admin about it.
