Solitaire and agp

What feature of agp or a video card makes the cards drop down fast when you win at the solitaire game that comes with Windows?

In Windows XP, it was decided to make the cards cascade much slower, thus
giving a more pleasing, useful display, rather than have the cards all fly
down so fast as to be almost meaningless, which was because of our
modern-day, high speed systems. The original solitaire was programmed when
machines were much slower, such as my old 386 33 Mhz system from years ago.
Even with that, the cards came at a fairly slick rate when winning.
