Software Updater?

Hi,
I'm responsable of 50 computers with Windows XP. I
install Microsoft Antispyware myself on each of them.

Two weeks ago, someone call me having a strange message
from M.A.S. I check it, it says that a new version of
M.A.S was ready so I install it.

The problem is that it only append on 7 computers in all
the 50 of them... I don't understand. Because when I
check "About...", some computer have the version .615
(the one who ask me to upgrade) but the others have a
previous version. When I hit update, they don't upgrade
to the new version (.615).. Do I realy need to reinstall
M.A.S everywhere or the upgrade will ask to update one
day?

We don't know for sure. Maybe if the PCs are left running for long enough,
the automatic software update will trigger.

But if I were you, I wouldn't hang around waiting. I'd put the latest
version installer on a USB stick and run round re-installing MSAS on all of
them.

I am having the same problem. This updater is not that
good, it is possesed. Sometimes it indicates it has a new
update and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it says it is
installing new software (as opposed to signatures) and it
doesn't really. Half my PCs are still suck on beta
version 105
and I only have 4 days to solve this.

Do you know if I can just talk the 105 download and
install it over the top of an existing 105 or do i have to
deinstall 105 first

I'm not sure if you mean version 615, but if yes, you
just have to download the new version on microsoft
antispyware website and install it and it's supose to
overwrite the previous version!
