software always installs in Spanish!

Hi,

I'm running the spanish version of Windows XP home because I bought my PC in
spain and I live here, but I always install my software in English as that's
my native language. However, many installers these days don't let you choose
the installation language and instead decide for themselves which language
you want! Is there a setting I can change in windows to tell these installers
to always install in English?

Thanks!

Might help if you tell us what you're trying to install. I live in Spain
too and have two computers with XP Spanish and never had this problem.

P.S. I know where you can get legit XPs in English here in Spain.

Hey,

actually I just figured it out. In the installation folder there was a bunch
of files called 1031.mst, 1035.mst, etc, and i figured out that these are the
language files, and that 1033 is english, so i deleted all except 1033.mst,
re-installed, and bingo! :) I actually have a copy of XP in english as well,
but it helps to keep the original version so I can take it back to the shop
for repair! Thanks for the help!

by the way, it was a trial of adobe after effects...
