Hello
Yesterday I took the plunge and installed Vista on my box from Windows XP
Proefessional. Now I'm having problems with Outlook 2003. I set up my email
account exactly as I have for the past 5 years on XP. I have no problem
recieving email, but I can not send. I keep getting the following error:
Tasl "My Account" reported error (0x80042109) : 'Outlook is unable to
connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive
this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider
(ISP).'
I have tried everything: Enabled ports in Windows Firewall, then disabled
Firewall, I can ping and tracert to my smtp server, so I know it is up and
running, plus I can log (using exact same crediatials) in via the webmail
they have (Network Solutions) and send just find.
All I know is that my account worked just fine on XP yesterday and now it
doesn't on Vista.
Can anyone help out?
Thanks
