SMS Program

Anyone willing to recommend a good, free MSS program for sending text
messages from a Windows XP machine to cellphones???

I see a bunch of them on VersionTracker.com, but the free ones have
very low download statistics. So I was wondering if anyone could help
me find a good one without having to download and experiment with a
bunch of different ones.

Many thanks.

If you have Outlook installed there is a free SMS add in available

Hi Peter,

I am somewhat new to Windows; I have downloaded the SMS add on,
launched Outlook, gone through all the choices on the menu bar but
can't figure out the next step.

IIRC, this add-in enables you to send text messages from Outlook to a mobile
phone that is attached to your computer; it doesn't send them "across the
Internet" straight from your machine. It's not obvious from your original
post which you're after - could it be that you expected the latter, but have
got the former, and hence are stuck?

But, as Peter says, read the instructions carefully and all should become
clear.

I am trying to send them straight from my computer.

Thanks for the help, fellows. I'll dig out the ReadMe on this and
sort it out.
