Hi Ss,

Pleae describe the problem you're experiencing.
I followed the instructions on this link but to no avail

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnsmarttag/html/odc_stxml.asp

Anyone else had the same problem or know what is missing?

Well I was expecting that when I typed one of the words eg access then this
would become underlined but it didn't.

Thanks

OK, that's a start. A SmartTag isn't being recognized. Is this a SmartTag
that comes with Office, or one designed by you (or someone else)?

Does the article you read mention checking the language with which the text
is formatted? I was having problems with SmartTags not being recognized, and
it turned out it was because the text was formatted with the wrong language
(most SmartTags that come with Office are language-specific)

Thanks getting there as I couldn't even get a city to bring up a smart tag
but having changed the language to US it worked. Still can't get the words
within this script to work though.

Looking at the script think this is a bit beyond me anyway.

Although I would like to know why the smart tags in Powerpoint or Excel on a
person's name don't seem to work either - they do in Word

Thanks for your help anyway.

OK, that's the next bit of information I was asking about;
you're trying to set up your own SmartTag. Yeah, this stuff
isn't simple. But if you want to pursue it, the best place to
go would be the office.developer.smarttags newsgroup.
