Small vertical lines on screen

It just suddenly happened, and has happened before. My
screen is filled with small, blue, vertical lines. I've
come to think that this has something to do with my video
card; I've updated the driver, changed the hardware
acceleration (which has worked), but still these lines
appear ... What's worse, when I try to play a game, such
as Halo or Half-Life, the graphics are really, really
messed up.

I am using a Fujitsu Lifebook, N series. The video card
is ATI's Radeon Mobility 9000.

Any help is appreciated.

Have you tried removing the display adapter in the device manager and let
windows re-detect the card?
Sounds like maybe the drivers are missing or corrupted.
If windows reinstalls the card it will reinstall the good drivers.
