Small problem occuring after changing Drive letters

G

Gordon

Vista Home Premium SP1
Two partitions on HDD. For some reason, after having inserted a USB memory
stick, the two partitions became C: and E: with the memory stick as D:
I renamed the stick to G:, and renamed the 2nd (data) partition back to D:.
All is working OK except - the Documents link on the Start Menu is empty,
its Properties are empty. How do I get the Documents link on the Start Menu
to point to the Documents folder?
Also If I click on my user name link on the Start menu there are several
white "folders" with no names that I cannot seem to delete.

Any solution?

stupid and far too broke to afford Vista so how could you possibly help
anyone in this Vista general ng with Vista problems? Answer...you can't!
Get lost troll and don't bother to come back this time.

Right click on the documents link in your start menu and go to
properties/location and point the link to the location of your actual
documents folder.

And when he removes the memory stick and it reverts back to "D", do it

Giggle.

You can use this for persistent drive letters:

Another classic example of how screwed up Windows REALLY is. It can't
by itself always remember drive assignment letters due to sloppy
programming, but some little no name application can. Laughable.

Naturally Frank will scream Vista is the best OS ever. Sure, right.
Only to the uninformed and fools.

Name a desktop OS that is better than Vista Ultimate!
Well...?

XP. Smaller, generally faster, no pain in the ass UAC.

Frank is always such a idiot. He fell head over heels for the most
expensive version of Vista. Marketing hype. Only uninformed pinheads,
MS fanboys and village idiots buy Ultimate. Microsoft's own TechNet
web site shows why buying Ultimate is foolish for 99.9% percent of
users. I wonder how many here got suckered. <snicker>

If you believe that is true, then why are you using Vista and not XP?
Are you insane?
Frank is always such a idiot.

I'm not the one who thinks XP is better than Vista and yet doesn't use
XP, and yet can't get his one little install of Vista to run properly.
That idiot would be you!

I'm not the moron who said, in this ng, that he needed Vista Ultimate
yet was too cheap to spend the extra 20 bucks for it and instead got
Vista Business.
That moron would be you.

MS fanboys and village idiots buy Ultimate.

hehehe....that's funny, seeing as how you yourself said you needed and
should have gotten Ultimate?
Are you crazy or what?

Microsoft's own TechNet
web site shows why buying Ultimate is foolish for 99.9% percent of
users.

Well maybe I'm not 99.99% of users. And I doubt that your 99.99% of
users are the real 99.99% of users.
I think your nuts!

I wonder how many here got suckered. said:

That's funny, I don't see any reference to your quoted "99.99% of users
don't need Ultimate" at that URL.
Did you just make up that number?
Well...?

I NEVER said any such thing. Typical of Frank to lie his dumb ass off.

Liar! Try google,(if you know how!).
You are LYING Frank.

Sorry, but maybe that dementia is further along than you first
indicated, but your words are on google.
Have bubba find them for you.

Nothing new about that, that's what you always do.

Hey bozo, your words not mine.
So why are you using Vista if you think XP is better?

Liar! Try google,(if you know how!).

Well doofus, since you're making some inference you know how to use
Google and you claim I said what you claim, the ball is in your court
to prove it. Naturally you'll just crawl away on your belly tail
between your legs like you always do because you're nothing but a damn
liar.

Naturally you can't truthfully respond because I've caught you (as

Best you get that dementia checked!...LOL!

There you go again. YOU said I said it. You simply can't stop lying
can you. When asked for proof, you just bluster and make more false
statements. That's you MO. You do it constantly every time you get
caught in one of your lies.
