SM Bus Controller???

Suddenly I am seeing a problem in Devnice Manager that the SM Bus Controller
is not working properly.

The message reads:
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver.

However, when I look in driver details, it reads:
No driver files are required of have been loaded for this device.

I don't know where to go next with this as it seems to be going round in
circles!
Please help!

In the Resources tab, it reads:
This device isn't using any resources because it has a problem>

Drivers for the SM Bus Controller should be available at the website of your
motherboard manufacturer.

What motherboard do you have?
You should be able to get this driver from your motherboard's chipset
manufacturer.

Problem seems to have disappeared now! Not sure how or why!!
