Slow Response when typing

Too often, while typing in the message body of an HTML email and find that
the screen is way behind my typing. After a few seconds, it will catch up.
This is frustrating, to say the least.

I believe that my computer is free of virus and adware. It has XP
Professional, Outlook 2007, and 2GB of RAM.

Can anyone suggest what to check or how to fix?

Is your typing slow in Word, too? This may point to a graphics or printer
driver problem. Download and install the latest graphic and printer drivers.

If you're using a Thinkvantage, deactivate or uninstall the Thinkvantage
Password Manager (Lenovo Thinkpad family of laptop).
Make sure you've installed the latest MS Office service pack.

Also, if you're using a wireless keyboard check your batteries.

I seem to remember it happening occasionally in Word but not certain.
However, you're right about always having the latest drivers. I'll do that
and see if it happens again. The problem is that it is not consistent!
