After some hotfix updates on Dec 1 2003. I noticed that
each time I logout, or reboot, I get a 2 minute delay
before the requested action takes place. Previously, there
was no delay. I did an uninstall of the four of the
hotfix automatic updates that were the most recent, and
this did not change the slow behaviour. The long delay is
very predicatable, it is always the same.
For a logoff to a new login prompt, I have a 1:53 to 1:55
minute delay. I have done a full virus scan, (Norton) and
nothing was found. In all other respects the laptop works
fine. The same delay occurs if I select Shutdown, before
it starts to shutdown.
The updates were all done Dec 1, 2003 and are KB823182,
KB824141, KB825119, KB828035.
I have searched the KB, and do not see any mention of a
similar problem.
