slightly OT new Win7 Build question...

I'm building my first Win 7 Pro64 system and I am assuming that I will have
to install the raid drivers for my motherboard somewhere during the
installation (I think by clicking on "repair your computer" then "load
drivers".... but I also plan to run a third party 3Ware raid card for video
work and I was wondering if I need to install the drivers for it during the
install as well or, since it's a third party card, do I just install it
after I finish the win 7 build?

W7 has the drivers native to the install disk. There is no need to stop
and load them during the install.
It is important, however, to be sure to set the BIOS to ACHI mode (Or
RAID) before you begin the install. Otherwise you will be stuck with IDE
mode.

I would leave the card out completely and get W7 installed and working.
Then install the card and load the driver manually (from your
disk/download - not letting W7 search for and installing automatically).
That will avoid any conflicts that might cause the install to fail.
