Slide Titles When Using Text Boxes

C

A few months ago I had a problem where I was using text boxes on blan
slides, when designing a presentation.
This meant that I was NOT using Title Boxes which are on the norma
slides.
When I converted the presentation to a web page, it meant all the slid
titles were missing, as they were not in Title boxes on the Slides.

I asked if anybody knew a way around this, but no-one did.

Well, I have finally found a Solution.
When you have converted your pres to a web page, you need to edit th
web presentation with Frontpage, change the Slide Titles manually wit
the ditor and then re-save.
This means that you can get your slide titles on to a web pres withou
using Title boxes.
Just for your information, in case anybody else is having the sam
problem

Hi,

This has got to be a reason to use the auto layout placeholder text boxes?
That is one of the reasons they are there. Else, it is a bit like buying a
car, taking the rubber tyres off and putting steel ones on? I use the
placeholder text boxes even if I don't want anyone to see the text, just to
get the names put in. I either drag them off the slide or make the colour
the same colour as the background.

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

If you (or anyone else reading this message) thinks that is important for
PowerPoint decouple slide names (for outline/navigation) from slide title
placeholders (without having to resort to VBA or add-ins), don't forget to
send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
