Slide Show in XP

Doesn't slide show exist in XP? I tried attaching an SD card via a USB
cable to my PC, and displayed the images on it. When I tried to find
slide show, couldn't.

Slide Show is not a separate WinXP app but a configuration in EXPLORER.EXE
(My Computer.)

This is mostly useless. What if the folder where they are is not configured
as a picture folder?

The built-in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer (which is the configured program
that normally opens pictures) has a slide-show function. Just open any of the
pictures in the folder, and then click on slideshow. The order of the pictures
will be the same as what you see in Explorer, so you can order them by date,
name, etc, and they will play in that order.

It has two defects, though, and if anybody here knows how to overcome them,
I'd like to know.
- It starts the slideshow on the main screen only. This is quite annoying,
because if one has a second display connected, *that's* where one usually wants
the slideshow to go.
- It never makes the pictures bigger to fit the screen. It makes it smaller, if
it is too large, but doesn't expand it if it is too small.

Thanks. I'll give it a try. I have Pro. I thought somewhere it could be
done right from the folder the images were in in XP Pro.

Irfanyview is an XP app, downloadable?
Yes.
IMO, Irfan is one of the best picture, video, and sound viewers
ever made.

I have used it likely since it was introduced. Tried many many others
in as many years. Irfanview is the best, what is it like 2MBs? Without
plugins and 10 with all the plugins.
