If all sites are linked over a WAN and they all come back
to one major site being HQ then what is the best way to
setup your site links and do you require site link bridges?

I would suggest that you let the KCC do it automatically
and no, you do not *NEED* site link bridges.

Just make sure that you set up all of your sites in ADSS
and make sure to create the appropriate subnet and
associate it with the proper Site. Also, be aware of the
problem with client PCs in Site A authenticating to a DC
in Site F ( meaning, it is not authenticating to the DC in
it's local Site ). Take a look at the following:

PS...I hope that I did not overlook something obvious. It
has been a bit since I dealt with multiple sites.
