I have been working on this computer and found several worms, adaware and spyware. Finally got rid of most of the problems but found part of W32 Spybot worm in the registry. This is what
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHIN
SOFTWAR
Microsof
Window
RunService
on the right side I hav
(Default) REG_SZ (valve not set
Microsoft Update REG_SZ codytdu.exe

The codytdu.exe is what Norton Anti-virus has listed as part of the worm
Can someone please tell me if I can delete this line without effecting anything else
Thank you very much in advance

Hi TJ,

I don't have this key in my Windows XP Pro.
You can export the key to a folder and then delete the value you want.
You may also want to go to Start > Run > msconfig
startup tab and disable any entries related to this worm.

Good luck
