I assume the SIS VGA is built-in to your motherboard. If I am right then the
X800Pro will take priority over the built-in SIS and you will only see 1
driver, however the X800 is capable of driving 2 monitors (if you have 2).

We are all in the same boat as you with the SiS chipset. I have the 748
chipset and no Aero for me. I have the X800XL and get the code 43. I did have
a 9600 and had the same error 43. Have to wait for SiS to get a Vista
compliant driver.

I continue to have this problem as well with my X1650 Pro. I try each
incarnation of the ATI drivers when they are released. Usually they work for
a few minutes, then it blue screens, or just outright crashes (screen will
turn yellow, or green or some other colour). The 7.1 release crashed so many
times that it destroyed many things. Like all programs listed in the Start
Menu had disappeared, or ones that did remain the links were no good. Most
icons lost the default icons and fell back on some generic icon, which looked
like something from Note pad.
Worst thing was it corrupted my restore points, so I had to reinstall Vista
to get things proper again.

I think it is the SiS AGP drivers myself that are causing all the problems.
The SiS AGP update from December, if I recall, at least let me see Aero
before it crashed, and would let me install ATI drivers, and let the system
recognise the card.

SiS 748/964 chipset. It maybe to old to fully support it, but since I have
managed to run with Aero for about 1 hour at one point, I'm determined now to
wait it out for a fix.
