Greetings,

Are you sure Windows Messenger 5.1 is on your laptop? The 4.7 version which comes with
Windows does not have the SIP option.

Greetings,

My apologies, I just read your other post in French which you already said you had installed
5.x.

The SIP option can actually be turned off by GPO/registry key. Since there's actually a few
ways of doing this, the easiest fix here would just to be to remove all Messenger policies
from your machine.

To do so, shut down Messenger if it's running, then download and run the following .reg
files:

Then try again.

I got the same problem. Even after I clear the registry as directed, I still
cannot get "sip" option to show up. XP+windows messenger 5.1.

Any other solutions?

Thanks.
