Silverlight automatic updates

I keep getting the same auto update notification for:
"Article ID : 951213
Last Review : April 15, 2008
Revision : 2.1 "
.... this update come up several times a day, so I dutifully run it... what's
the problem? Have tried to uninstall then reinstall SL without success -
error that the "patch package is not present... verify it exists..." etc. so
can't uninstall. SL version 1.0.30109.0 on WinXPPro SP2
