Signs of record corruption?

Hi All

What are the signs of record corruption in Access 2000? That is, how
can I tell if any of my records are corrupted?

I have one record with Chinese characters - is this a sign? How could
I write a query or VB code to isolate them?

I did have a condition on a form event that I think may have led to
corruption which I think I have now solved. How can I write a check
routine to verify my fix by looking for anymore corrupted records at
the end of each user session?

The "Chinese characters" or weird symbols certainly are likely to be
corruption especially if no on typed time into the record.
