Sidewinder precision pro

I have owned my sidewinder precision pro for many years.
Eventually I get a newer computer with Win 2000 pro.
However I cannot install my joystick. An error message
comes up saying something about it not being compaitable.
Is there a patch to make it work?

Windows 2000 already has a driver for it.

In Control Panel, open the Gaming Options applet. Click the Add button.
Select "Microsoft Sidewinder (Auto Select)". Click OK.

If the joystick port is on your sound card, you must have previously
installed your sound card's drivers so it can provide the support for
its joystick port. Otherwise, the above procedure will result in not
detecting your Sidewinder.
